# JSON Configuration

The **JSON Configuration** section allows you to configure the JSON file used for importing localization data and specify the export location for generated JSON files.

***

### Source JSON

Assign a **JSON Asset** to use as the source localization file.

This setting is used by **Global Actions → Import → Import from JSON**.

The JSON file can contain only the **Source Language**, or it can also include one or more **Target Languages** and their translations.

#### JSON Format

The JSON file must follow the format below.

```
{
    "header": [ "Key", "English", "Chinese", "Japanese", "Korean" ],
    "body": [
        {
            "Key": "Key",
            "English": "",
            "Chinese": ""
        }
    ]
}
```

#### Notes

* The **header** array defines the languages included in the JSON file.
* The **Key** field is required for every localization entry.
* Additional language columns are optional.
* If Target Languages are included, they are imported automatically along with their translation data.

### Export Settings

Configure where generated JSON files will be exported.

Choose one of the following export modes.

#### Preset Path

Exports JSON files to the default folder used by LocalFlow Translate.

Generated files are saved to:

<pre><code><strong>Assets/PTX/LocalFlow/Generated/Translated_Files
</strong></code></pre>

This output location is predefined and cannot be changed.

You can customize the **Folder Name** to organize exported files within this location.

#### Custom Path

Exports JSON files to a custom location.

Specify any folder inside your Unity project's **Assets** directory.

{% hint style="info" %}
The custom path must be located inside the Unity project. External folders are not supported.
{% endhint %}
