# TMP Font Generation & Update

Generate and update TextMesh Pro Font Assets from localized text.

Use **TMP Font Generation** to generate or update **TextMesh Pro Font Assets** for each target language.

The process collects unique characters from that language's localization texts.

### Configure languages

#### Add a language

Click **Add Language** to add a language for TMP Font Generation.

Configure a **Source Font** and **TMP Font Asset** for each language independently.

#### Source Font

Assign the **Source Font** used to generate a TextMesh Pro Font Asset. This enables **Generate**.

#### TMP Font

Assign an existing **TMP Font Asset** when you want to update it.

With both fields assigned, **Generate** becomes **Update**.

### Generate or update assets

#### Generate

**Generate** creates a new TMP Font Asset from the assigned **Source Font**.

It is available when a **Source Font** is assigned.

#### Update

**Update** regenerates the assigned **TMP Font Asset** using the current **Source Font**.

It is available when both a **Source Font** and **TMP Font Asset** are assigned.

#### Auto Generate All

**Auto Generate All** processes every configured language:

* Languages with an assigned **TMP Font Asset** are updated.
* Languages without one receive a new TMP Font Asset.

Generated and updated assets include only characters in localization texts. Duplicate characters are removed automatically.

New TMP Font Assets are always created in:

`Assets/PTX/LocalFlow/Generated/TMP_Fonts`

This output location cannot be changed. Updated assets remain in their current location.
